

Rosie Kat ATCL
Rosie is a professional soprano from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Founder of Squillo Opera Company, she is passionate about working with children and young people in theatrical and musical contexts. Rosie recently directed a production of 'The Gondoliers' for the University of Birmingham Gilbert and Sullivan Society. She will be playing 'Fleta' in their production of Iolanthe at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival this August. Rosie will also be in the chorus for 'HMS Pinafore' for the Berwick Festival Opera this summer, where she recently co-ran a workshop for Berwick residents with international tenor Austin Gunn. This summer, Rosie sang Beethoven's 9th at the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms Youth Choir. Rosie recently reprised her role of Armida for Rocket Opera Company's concert production of Handel's 'Rinaldo'. Rosie has also sung main roles in 'Rosina' and 'The Farmer' in William Shield Festivals 2017 and 2018.
